Hi,

I am trying to open the DNN 1.0.9 version in visual studio 2003 , but I am getting

"Visual Studio .NET cannot create or open the application.  The likeliest problem is that required components are not installed on the local web server.  Run Visual Studio .NET setup and add the web development component."

after this error it says, application should be converted to the formats used by this version of Visual studio .Net.

I testing my visual studio 2003 installation by creating sample web application and it works fine.

I can open the application in the  IE but not in visual studio 2003

Does this mean that I need visual studio .Net 2002 to compile the DNN 1.0.9 application.

BTW, I tried opeing the sln file using open project option avalaible in visual studio.Net 2003

Its urgent

can anyone please help me

Thanks

DotNetNuke 1.x was built on .Net Framework 1.0 and requires VS2002. If you want to use VS 2003, you need to upgrade to DNN2 or DNN3
