Yeah, I missed January's meeting and have been so busy, I don't even know when February's is.
Ok, I just hit the preview link on this message, and the choices are Update and Cancel. I found that a little unnerving after typing in a long message with some screen scraped error text. For Update, maybe something more like Submit or Post? For Cancel, you suggested Edit. That is certainly more clear, but you could also consider Return (which seems to be used in DNN a good bit). And if multi-word links are allowed, perhaps "Return to Edit" or something like that.
>>this could cause some confusion for that end user.
It would definitely have to be visibly obvious. I was thinking something along the lines of the way DNN outlines a module in red when only admins have view permission. But you would probably want it to look different than that, but similarly marked in some way. And yes, I would recommend they be editable. This brings up the issue of does it have to be remoderated if an edit is made after moderator approval. But, even if you are not allowed to edit the text of the message, it would sure be nice to be able to change the Notification option. I am always submitting the message and forgetting to turn it on. Then, since its moderated, I have to wait (sometimes) hours for the moderator to approve it and then I can turn it on. So even if you didn't show the unapproved message in the flow and there was a separate queue for my unapproved posts, at least having the ability to turn on (or off I guess) notification would be a very nice convenience.
Thanks for responding.
