Steve,

I didn't want to be a nagger so Ive waited a while to post this. I sent an email to ya about a week ago about the repository. Unless Ive misconfigured something somehow there appears to be a problem, at least from my install, with the nifty video template in that as administrator, or any other user for that matter, when you upload a video, it uploads fine, the files appear on the server, but the video player dosen't play the videos.

Example..

I uploaded a file called techtv.wmv. If I ftp to the server, it lists the file like this.. techtv(a LOT of characters, maybe session info I dunno).wmv. The properties of the embedded player show that the file it is trying to play is the original file name.. techtv.wmv. This same file and upload process worked and played in the version that allows multiple votes per item.

in the form.html file change the [FILE] token to [URLCONTROLFILE], then re-upload the video. It should now be stored without the embedded GUID and you should be able to play the videos without problem

Ok.. I modified the form.html as directed, deleted all uploads, uploaded a file and.. the file is uploaded to here..
Portals/0/filename.wmv

and the player is looking here..
/Portals/0/Repository/filename.wmv

I also tried editing the module settings for the file paths to be only Portals/0 as it was the default  Portals/0/Repository/ , did the delete reupload thing and still no success so I changed it back.

when you upload the videos make sure to select the Repository folder to upload the file into, by default it's going to go into the portal root. So select the folder first, then the file, then upload it. It's the standard dotnetnuke url control so the control can be used to specify where the file will be stored. When using the URLControlFile, the module settings value is ignored.

I got my rear kicked by the flu and am just now coming out of the haze..

Selecting the repository folder in the upload process worked.

Thanks man, I really appreciate your help and attention.
