Hi, another newbie question…

Currently we use a text/html box along the side of our site for navigation. We checked the “Display Module on all pages” so that the navigation shows up on all of our pages.

We are starting to go in a new direction with the site. We still want to have a “quick links” navigation on our homepage, but all of the navigation from that point beyond would be section specific.

For example, we have a games section of about 15 games. We want to have navigation that lists all of the games, and no matter which game click, the navigation remains games specific. We would also want the same thing for our other sections, such as our career section.

Currently, the only way I know how to accomplish this is to add a text/html box individually to each games pages, or each career page, or whichever section we wish to have remain constant.

Is there an easier way to do this? Is there a “Display module on all subpages”  setting somewhere, or a module I could download that will work better than a text/HTML box that would still be indexed in Google and other site searches?   Thanks in advance.

Hi

The best way to do this is to use ventrian systems child links.  I use it throughout my site.  You can set it to display the names of the parent pages, siblings or children.  You can format it as you wish.

The best thing about paying $24 for three months is that you get to use all there modules.   ANd trust me they are the best modules for DNN.  You wait until you have used news articles or property agent
