Hi,

I have a question related to the repository modul version 03.01.13. I installed this modul on my dotnetnuke portal and all was running well.
A few days ago I have installed IE7PRO on my local PC and I activated the function 'download files from YouTube.com'. Now my Internet Explorer is no more  able to download Files (e.g. a *.pdf file) from the repository module on my portal. Deactivating the IE7PRO extention of my Internet Explorer solves the problem.

Can someone tell me, what is the reason for that ???

Thanks Peter

Peter and dlink0227,
Can you please let me know if this is a problem that is relegated to the Repository module? Using IE7PRO and IE8, can you successfully download files using the DotNetNuke File Manager? It will help me understand if this is ONLY a Repository problem or a overall DNN issue.

Thanks

dlink0227.
Can you tell me what you mean by "cannot upload to repository"?

Does your client get an error message? Does the upload form display? What happens when they press Submit? is there an error message in the DotNetNuke event log? what about the IIS log? Just saying "cannot upload" doesn't give me much info to go on.

Hello Steve,

thank you for your answer. To download a file I tried to use the DotNetNuke File Manager : it failed too. It seems not to be a problem of the Repository module but a problem of DotNetNuke (version 04.05.03) in conjunction with the 'download manager' of IE7PRO. When I disable this download manager all is working correct: the DotNetNuke File Manager and the Repository module.

When the download manager of IE7PRO is enabled and you click the 'download button' (Repository) or a filename (File Manager) a messagebox opens asking for open or save the file. Whether you click 'save' or 'open' the message box disappears and nothing happens!

No, not quite correct! For a (very) short time another messagebox opens, but you can't read the message before it disappears again.

Peter
