Here it is what i have performed:

1. Unzip the files to the directory.
2. In IIS configuration, create a new Virtual Directory.
3. On this screen check the boxes next to "Read", "Run scripts (such as ASP)", and "Execute". Then click Next
4. In IIS, go into properties for the site you just created and click on the ASP.NET tab and insure that you set the site to run under ASP.NET 2.0.
5. Go to the site in your web browser

But instead of getting installation Page i am getting error:

To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.

Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.

To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

I would have you check two things.  The first thing is not likely the problem, but it is best to go in this order.

  1. Ensure that your directory specified in IIS is indeed pointing at the correct directory.
  2. Go into the specified directory and then the bin folder.  Look for the DotNetNuke.dll assembly.

If you haven't already done that, let us know if this doesn't help, and what you find.

iuser isn't the account that needs permissions. The account you need to give permissions to is NETWORK SERVICE. I'll do some checking if I have time tomorrow to see if I can figure out your error (it's late now and my wife is giving me a dirty look for being on the computer this late).

To add on to what Mike was saying, the Network Service account the one to give permissions to, but only in Windows Server 2003.  In Windows XP and Windows Server 2000 and below, you would give those permissions to the ASPNET account.  That being said, you should remove the additional security from the IUSR account as soon as possible.

*EDIT*
Which directories/files did you assign permissions to for DNN to work?  Make sure that you assign the permissions from the root directory of DNN, and uncheck the checkbox that allows the directory to inherit permissions from the parent folder.  Then, even though you assigned the permissions, manually check the permissions of the bin folder and the DotNetNuke.dll assembly and make sure that the permissions you specified have propogated to those areas.
