This problem started when I upgraded to 4.8.

I use an FTP to upload files to a particular portal. This problem has manifested itself in two ways:

  • Uploaded files (images) are not available (either in file manager or directly linked), but they are there in the file system.
  • Deleted files persist (they show up in the file manager AND are available, but not in the file system)

This is affecting images as well as .apsx and .css files in the SKIN folder, meaning I can't update this skin!

Troubleshooting step i have taken:

  • Sychronize files (recursive and not)
  • Auto-synch is on
  • Restarted application
  • Recycled the application pool
  • Restarted IIS

Brad,

Could this be a permissions problem? I'm thinking that because you uploaded them via an FTP and not through DotNetNuke the needed account (network service or asp.net) does not have the permission to manipulate those files. Could you try re-applying the permissions for the entire directory to see if that helps? Might be a long shot - but it's something to try!

Take care,

Ian
