Thanks Jeff,

  I figured out that problem now on to other issues. I now need to figure out setting up log-in issues for visitors and how that works. Do you know of a video turotial that deals with this issue? I also wonder if this dotnetnuke is as slow for everyone as it is for me?

okay synapsis page blaster significantly speeds up dotnetnuke but it does depend on the server you are running the site on.
As for video tutorials I'd recommend dnncreative as a good place to start
