I have searched the forums and read topics on the subject including:

I'm encountering the same problem however it's NOT immediately after installation. This site has approximately 50 pages and was functioning well for at least a week.

The problem was created after I took these steps:

  1. Created a new page as a login page.
  2. Logged out
  3. Successfully logged in using the absolute URL for that page.
  4. In "Site Settings", set the "Login Page" dropdown option to the newly created page.
  5. Logged out.
  6. Clicked on a login link.
  7. Encountered the redirect error in firefox.
  8. Clicked back a bunch of times to try to undo the login page.
  9. Clicking update, I encountered the same error, so essentially I can't undo the error.

The steps I've taken to try  to rectify this are:

  1. Change the trust level in web.config to full
  2. Comment out the entire trust level key in web.config
  3. Uncomment the key <add key="UsePortNumber" value="true" /> (even though it's not running on a nondefault port)
  4. I have NOT tried to look at the slash in my portal alias since I don't have access to the database tonight.

However, as I said, this site has been functioning correctly until tonight's login page error.

Thanks,

Shmuel

I've run into the same problem described here of the site not loading because it is constantly redirecting.  I got the error in FireFox "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

Several in this thread suggesting changing the trust level to "Full" (this is case sensitive by the way, for the guy who posted earlier that "full" was not a defined level).

I did this and it solved the problem, but my question is why?  My site had been running fine for about a month, and then one day I was not able to access it.  Users have been making changes to the content, but I have not modified any code or config files.  So why does DNN all of a sudden need Full trust to run?
