Before that nothing, sorry for my english. I'm from argentina and we speak spanish.

I install dnn 4.05.05 in my pc (localhost), after that i upload all the web site (include de db) to the hosting. It's work fine, the only one problem is that i can't log in, obtaining this error when i try:

A critical error has occurred.
Cannot open database "w1090867_geoandar" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE'.

You can't see this problem on: http://www.geoandar.com.ar

I am grateful for any help

David,

The problem appears to be with your connection string in your web.config file. Please make sure that you have specific credentials created in your SQL Server instance that can access your databse. After you have verified the credentials, make sure that you are using those credentials in your database connection string in your web.config file. I would suggest creating an explicit user name and password and not using windows authentication (integrated security).

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Take care,

Ian

Thank you for answering so rapidly

I try both connection. Integrated Security and uid and pwd. If i use uid and pwd i get this error:

DotNetNuke Error: - Version 04.05.05

Cannot open database "w1090867_geoandar" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'w1090867_davidakd'.

This is the connection strings that i use, i ok?

 <connectionStrings>
    <add  name="SiteSqlServer"
      connectionString="data source=localhost;Database=w1090867_geoandar;uid=w1090867_davidakd;pwd=************;"/>
  </connectionStrings>

Thanks.

That looks correct assuming you have the database locally, and you have setup that user with rights to the database you're trying to login to.
