Yes, it works for DNN 5.2.x however you need to look for the file under \DesktopModules\Admin\Security\User.ascx.vb

Try our powerful shopping cart module for DotNetNuke!

Does anyone know of how to accomplish this in 5.4.4?

I tried to change visibility of the Delete-commandbutton in the DesktopModules\Admin\Security\User.ascx file to Visible="False" :

<dnn:commandbutton id="cmdDelete" runat="server"
imageurl="~/images/delete.gif"
causesvalidation="False" Visible="False"  />

without success. The Delete button still shows up for normal users.. Any tips?

(Just deleting the commandbutton-statement completely just messed up the module completely)

In version 6.00.00 dnn has changed to C#, and to disable unRegister, you have to make the following change the following line in file DesktopModules/Admin/Security/User.ascx.cs in the section "/// DataBind binds the data to the controls"

cmdDelete.Text = Localization.GetString(IsUser ? "UnRegister" : "Delete", LocalResourceFile);

to

/// cmdDelete.Text = Localization.GetString(IsUser ? "UnRegister" : "Delete", LocalResourceFile);

(that is you simply blank out that specific line with three /// )

Cheers! OJ, Stavanger, Norway
