Hi

As the current trends in SEO dictate that one should use <h1> tags on a website is there a way of applying a custom H1 tag using css to the module titles.  Or is there another way I could use the H1 tag to apply to the module titles.

Cheers

Is it unreasonable to alter your containers or use different containers that already use h1 tags for module titles?  That seems to be by far the path of least resistance.

Ah

I have just dont that by wrapping the H1 tage around the container title code such as this:

 <td><h1><dnn:TITLE runat="server" id="dnnTITLE" /></h1></td>

But that makes no different to the formating.  I have checked this using firebug and allthough the H1 tage is now present in the code, the actual title has a css attribute of "head".

I actually do not want to change the style of the title rather give it a H1 tag for SEO purposes.  Do you think that this will be enought for the code to look like the following:

<h1>

<span id="dnn_ctr349_dnnTITLE_lblTitle" class="Head" style="cursor: pointer;">Welcome to Class Campers</span>

</h1>

That meets the requirement of SEO engines, but not completely the spirit (or possibly even fully the requirement).  I'm thinking of a module that might contain multiple <h1> tags, such as a Text/HTML module with three separate sections.  It could be done as three separate modules, but that really depends on container skinning as to whether the presentation would be correct.

Naturally this would be on a site by site and skin by skin basis, and the admin would need to decide what is appropriate for the site.
