Hello All,

I am currently working on upgrading one of our portals that is currently using version 4.02.  I was going to upgrade to 4.5.5, or 4.6.2 to make sure I get a stable version, but in some other posts I have found suggestions to upgrade from

4.0.2 to 4.3.7

4.3.7 to 4.4.1

4.4.1 to 4.7.0

is 4.7.0 a more stable version then 4.5.5, or 4.6.2.  I am basicly after the most stable version out of the three

Thanks Mike

All releases have at least some issues. Until 4.8.1 comes out (if it does before 5.0...) my opinion would be 4.6.2*. Then again, 4.7 was supposed to fix bugs from 4.6.2 and 4.8 is supposed to fix bugs from 4.7. (I think that the stablest version of all time was v2.1.2) Some of the bugs keep rolling from version to version and sometimes it takes a few releases before they get reported and squashed.

It's interesting how much easier and trouble free a clean install is opposed to an upgrade. i have upgraded a dozen portals over the last year and more than half had some issue or another.

*your mileage may vary
