I'm planning to create a DNN Website through Quantasoft Web Hosting. However, their free hosting are limited to only 50 MB space (More Details).

Is it possible to create a DNN Site on their Free Hosting? or do I really have to purchase Hosting? What is the smallest possible installation of DNN? What else do I need to Install DNN at Quantasoft? (Brw,I looked at the F.A.Q., and I think their Free Hosting is capable, If I haven't missed any detail)

I hope I posted this at the correct forum, and thanks in advance..

Hi

I doubt that 50MB will be enough, I can't say how much space you require, but i can give you a breakdown of my site and how much space I'm using.

My site has 320+ pages and 10 300+ users.  My site's root folder and Database backup file, when zipped, is 1.2Gb

Lantis,

DotNetNuke requires MS SQL Server database, you can use SQL Express, which is included in Free Hosting, but size of both will quickly exceed the size simit, as soon as you install additional modules or enable logging.

This means that it's possible, right? Yey! The website I'm planning to create just have 3 modules (A webcomic viewer and a couple of blogs), and there's no logging or forums. I'm going to start assembling the site now, I hope this works.

Thanks a bunch!

make sure, to delete all installation packages, you do not need, from the /install/module folder.
