Hello I'm new in DNN, and I have a problem with localization my website.

I developed my app using VS 2005.

I have a page that must be localized based on the browser language. In VS I use menu Tool->Generate Local Resource. Then using the superadmin account I'm logging to DNN. Next using option Language editor form menu Languages I browse to my newly created resx file and choose from the combobox english (United States) - my default language is Polish. Now I can edit my resources file translating polish to english. After this when I look in to solution Explorer (in my VS) I see that DNN create a new file (resx) with english traslation.

The problem is that when I deploy the app and change the language in my browser to english en_US nothing is happening, I still got the polish words.

Did someone have similar problem?

Hello again,

I looked at this things You told me and I still have a problem.

It seems like DNN doesn't see my LocalResources and every time I browse my page I see something like this: RESX:lblNameResource1.Text

I checked if this name is correct in my ascx file and in localresources files, but everything seems to bo ok.

Any ideas?

please check file names and key names carefully, key names are case sensitive!

Automatic recognition requires runat = "Server" attribute of the asp.net control and specification of a resource key. I suggest to have a look at the core modules, e.g. Text/HTML.

Thank you for your replay.

the lable controls is working now, but I have a problem with gridview headers. I saw something like that in one of the doucments:

Localization.LocalizeDataGrid(dgSample, LocalResourceFile)

but this works only with dataGrids.
Is there any similiar metod to this or maybe there is other solution?
