(I tried sending this before and got an error on clicking Submit so I am resending it.)

I want to have users upload files to a secure directory (which would give all files a ".resources" extension.

  • I downloaded and installed (an upgrade) 3.01.14 RC13 Install Build 17762 (.NET 1.1/2.0/3.0)
  • During installation I got a message that it had updated the database. After checking the database and finding some new procs I did not follow the instructions on the download page to run the SQL code seperately.
  • I uploaded a test document with Repository into a DNN secure folder. Checking the secure folder I found that the file extension did not change.

Am I missing something or is the secure upload not working?

Thanks, Matthew

I am having the same issue.  It is keeping the original extension on my files uploaded to a secure file folder.  Will these files still show up in google searches?  Will they be able to be downloaded from external links?
