We are setting up a new website that is in testing right now using DNN 4.08 and using asp 2.0. Once it is ready to go live, I am going to move everything over to our web server. We were going to keep the test site for development so we could test without blowing up the live site. My question is how do we import information from the test site to the live site after the fact?

There are some great tutorials on this topic at DNNCreative.com.  You'll have to subscribe, but you'll be glad that you did.

I'm not so sure you would want to treat DNN as a traditional staging > production type workflow like you might be used to with conventional HTML sites in the past.

Look into staging content to the live site through restricting viewing rights until you are ready to post to all viewers.

Look into testing out module or portal upgrades on the test site before trying the same on the live site.

With those 2 rules, you can get a lot acomplished.
