i want to mask the URL's so instead of    www.mydomain.com/desktopmodules/tabid_56& etc etc it reads something nice like www.mydomain.com/home

www.mydomain.com/gallery1

i can see the search engine friendly URL bit on the portal settings but i didn't want to mess withit too much as i am not sure exactly what it does, should have a nice test site up and running this weekend to test an theories out on :)

cheers

chris

in latest version of DotNetNuke you can enable HumanFriendly Urls, which will result in URLs like www.mydomain.com/desktopmodules/gallery.aspx. for providing links w/o an appendix, you will need to create subfolders with redirecting default documents inside for each page.
