probably a better place would be in microsoft forums, but I prefer to ask here anyhow :->

Anyone know if there is a way to take these VS2008 Express editions accessable from the same IDE?  I'd rather jsut develop all my DNN stuff in one big project.  I"m still new of course and maybe I'm missing some point, but the idea of having to code my VB in one project, in one IDE, my ASP in another, and my C# in yet a third sounds a little inconviniant.

Just curious,

Thanks

Josh

no,they're designed to only load into unique instances of the vs.net shell. If they all loaded into the same shell it would be too close to the paid vs.net version i.e. if the inconvenience is too much you'll be happy to pay out for the full version.

Alternatively you could try out the fully-featured free IDE http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SD/Default.aspx

Finally, you don't necessarily need to create class libraries in either vb.net/c# for dotnetnuke development. In my last job, in many cases we used the simple web site projects model and developed all our modules to load into app_code (theres plenty of details of the WSP approach @ http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/BlogID/77/Default.aspx)
