Hi,

I have added the login component on my home page so my customers can login quickly from home page as they come to my site, however after logging the login component should not show or atleast should automatically minimize coz it is annoying to see the login option enabled always makes me think the login didnt succeed or so ...

Anybody has any ideas on this??

If your talking about the Account login module just set the view permissions for the module to unauthenticated users and clear the check box next to Inherit view permissions.

Cheers,

You can create two skins - you take login out of one - and save that - and the other one, with the login, you put on front page only and the skin with no login is on your other pages.

You can put in a skin for the whole site - using adming/settings or you can put  a skin on each page - using Page/settings from the control panel and make the skin show on that page only.
