Hi there,

I have a DNN site which i made live last week, ever since then i have had major issues with the default dnn login module.

Everything works fine on Firefox but on ie7 the login does not seem to work and all that happens is the page refreshes and the user is not logged in. I have looked in all of the reports and there is no real info there.

Steps to recreate.

user goes to url www.mobismartzone.com

enters in their user name and password and clicks login

page refreshes and the login module is still displayed and the user is not logged in.

This is a real pain as my site is dependant on having the login module in place to govern users who access the site.

I would really appreciate any help from anyone as this is having a massively detrimental impact on my site.

thanks

Brad

Hi,

Have you checked the browser cache settings? I have seen this sort of thing when the browser has been set to never check for a later version of the page.

Good luck, John

Hey there,

yes i have and all is fine on that front, i also lowered my security on IE7 to low instead of medium and that did not rectify.

I did recently change the login page value in the site settings and i had read somewhere that if you do this it blows up the login (to a degree) and that to rectify it you need to change the database values to Null.

I am weary about doing this as i am not overly familiar with databases and would rather someone verify that is the issue prior to makling this change and risking messing something up.

thanks for any more feedback.

brad
