Hi,

Can DNN 4.8 be installed on Windows Server 2000?

I remember reading somewhere that  windows server 2000 and IIS 5 is less preferred to run DNN.  How true is that?

I have the DNN portals running on the Win Server 2003 and it runs fine.  My client needs to install DNN 4.8 but can provide windows 2000 only, so I want to know what could be the problems installing and running it.

Regards,

SS

I'm not sure what you read, DotNetNuke works fine on windows 2000 (ensure that you install .net 2.0). IIS6 (running on windows 2003) is known to be more efficent compared to IIS5 (windows 2000), I guess that's what you may have read - in reality you'll notice little difference.
