what is the size of the database transaction log and how is usage percentage of the  files (look into database tool like management studio).

Anyways, Sebastian, I know you are a core member and probably one of the moderators too. I just wanted to let you know that forum notification does not work. I don't get any notifications of any replies to my questions. Yes, I check it. I have checked this one too but I will not get the notification when you or someone will reply.

Frozen,

You could save 2.8Mb by purging your EventLog and about the same for the SiteLog as well.

As mentioned above you will want to check and see the usage of the files, you can use sp_spaceused in the SQL window to get a rough idea of this wihout using management studio.  If you are on a hosted environment you might check with your hosting provider to see if the truncate the transaction logs on a backup.  If you are hosting it yourself you will want to check your backup schedule.

As for forum notifications, it is a known issue since as soon as the forums went to the newest version.  Hopefully they will fix it sometime soon.  It does make it quite hard for some of us to actually help as we don't get notifications either...

I generally agree with Mitchels statements.

There is an issue in current version of Forums module, that prevents subscriptions to specific threads being served. you can however use forum subscription to get notified for any post contributed to it. The next version of the module will solve this and has been already submitted to the release tracker (see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Development/ProjectReleaseTracking/tabid/997/Default.aspx) and will be hopefully quickly pass the testing process and be installed here and released for download soon.
