Hi have searched the forum and I have consulted Dotnetnuke professional 4 and I can't find an answer to this question - so I hope someone will take pity on me and help me out!

I'm using DNN 4.4.1. - I have setup a role as a page editor but I also want them to be able to uplaod files to a folder.  I have created the file and have granted the role read and wright access to the file folder and even the root folder.  But when my page editor goes to their page the file option at the top right side is greyed out.   How do I make it so a page editor can upload a file without having full admin previlages?

Please help!

Judy

Judy,

upload will be granted inside the modules - either from edit control for URLs or from insert URL / image button in rich text editor.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!  It was working all the time, I just had a concept of what I should see and thought it was not working.  I never would have figured this out without your help!

I have a little bit different problem.

I'd like to set one role up to upload files without admin previledge. I made it for one user to upload files folowing most of answer in dnn forum but still delete anyother's thread as well which means the user has forum admin previlidge.

Can I set up one user having permission to upload file only not admin not forum admin not forum module editor?

Thank you in advance,
