Question. I have a site where we want three people to be able to blog. I imported the module and have it working fine for one user. I set up a custom Blogger role for him to edit this section. When I add two new DNN users and assign them the Blogger role they can't edit his blog and if they create their own their blog and entries don't show on the Blog homepage. Thanks for your help.

First of all, that site looks awesome!  What did you use to show the pictures on the home page?  Very nice.

Regarding the blog module, as you have already discovered, you can't have more than 1 person post to a blog using the DNN blog module.  You may be better off using something like the Ventrian News Articles module which you can customize more to meet your needs.  Of course, there's a little bit of a learning curve if you go this route.

Having said this, I think you may be able to make the DNN blog module work for your situation.  There are a couple of things I would check for the blog module in the page where you would like for all 3 blogs to appear.

1) Go to Module Options for the module which shows the list of blog entries and make sure the Personal Blog Page setting is set to <Not Specified>.

2) Log in as each of the users and check to make sure the blog is set to be public in the Blog Settings.

HTH,

Don

PS Posting images up to the blog is a snap with metaPost (see link below).  We'll be releasing a Professional Edition soon, but the Community Edition is availalbe now and is free.

Hi,

You can use digMeta to allow multiple users to post on the same blog.  As in your example, you can assign a role to post to a specific blog.  The users would have to use Windows Live Writer to post their entries.  The issue with this is the author will display as the user who created the blog, not the user who created the post.  This might be good want 3 employees to update a "perspective" blog anonymously.  If you want 1 blog per user, you can implement your blogs like the DNN blogs.  The front page should show the summary of all the latest blog posts.   And if you want more control over authors and catgories, do as Don suggested and check out Ventrian News Articles.

Good Luck!
Mike

You can also use the repository module. Use the blog skin for the repository or create a custom skin and form for repository module.
