Total newbie here....I want to install and test this, but first want to know what are the system requirements. Expected this to be in the Install Guide, but couldn't find it. Where can I find the system requirements for DNN???

This is the same guide that i already looked at. i don't see anywhere in this guide on what are the system requirements (EG Database Software to use, what IIS version, etc). If it's there and I'm missing it, please post the page number. All this does is walk you through the install, BUT i want to ensure my hardware and software are appropiate before installing.

Hi, this is the exact same question I have. All of the installation docs go through how to install and setup the program, nowhere that I can see does it give a list of software pre-requisites.

The only thing I found was that it required the .NET framework to be installed. What about dev tools and DB?

Ok after a little Google. I found the answer on a different site. It fits what I assumed to be true. This should be in the DotNetNuke instructions.

DotNetNuke Pre-Requisites


Please ensure you take the following steps before continuing with the DotNetNuke integration.

1.) You will need to have the ASP.NET 2.0 Framework installed in order to install v4 of DotNetNuke. This can be found here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en
For DotNetNuke v3, you only need the ASP.NET 1.1 Framework which comes as standard with Windows Server.

2.) You will need SQL Server installed in order to use DotNetNuke. The portal will be installed on a SQL database, so make sure that you have a version of SQL Server installed
