For those who are using the DotNetNuke blog and really need to have your blog titles appear in the page title, we created a quick and temporary solution to this problem.

More here.

This is really great, thank you.

You should post this to the blog forum too.

However, the other big problem with the blog -- I haven't tested or checked it out yet -- is that apparently image uploading or something to do with images is also messed up in the newest blog module.

And of course DNN can't see its way to provide mulitple authors to one blog...most other blog tools do this as a matter of course.

Thank you, Tom

Hi Tom,

I'd like to see progress in this area too.  I think the blog module is critical for the overall success of DNN in a world where the trends related to publishing are focused heavily on the blog.

Regarding images, that's one of the main reasons we created metaPostmetaPost actually goes way beyond just the blog module as it is designed to function as a bridge between using Windows Live Writer, which makes working with images incredibly easy, and DotNetNuke.  I have some vides on the site you can check out and I'll be officially releasing a new metaPost provider soon for both the Text/HTML module and the FAQs module.  Basically, we're trying to fill in the gaps as much as possible by adding missing features, like true pingbacks, to metaPost so it's available through metaPost providers to module's that either don't have this feature or don't implement it correctly.

I realize you're probably aware of this, but for other forum readers, the Ventrian News Articles module provides an alternative to the DNN blog if you need multiple authors to a single blog.  It also handles some of SEO issues nicely.

Thanks for the response!  Let's do what we can to keep developers on DNN!

Don

Regarding the Ventrian News Article, I will look at that.

They don't want comments on the blog, so now it kind of doesn't matter what blog module is used. :(

Thanks, Tom
