Hi,

i have two questions....

1.  What is the preferred method of building Horizontal menus?  Currently i have been doing so by add pages and checking the "include in menu" option.  To create sub-menus, i set the parent property of the pages when building them.  But i would prefer that the the main menu not be clickable.  Is there a way to do this or is there a more preferred method of building menus?

2.  When building pages, i add my modules to the center content panel.  When i bring these pages, the module is displayed, but the other panels are empty.  How can i configure DNN such that the left and right panel are the same or fixed and the same for every page i create?

thank you kindly

1. Disable pages (it's in the page properties) corresponding to the menu items you do not want to be clickable.

Thanks Exiton!  I see that it is located in the Advance section.  Works!

Any comments or suggestions on the 2nd question?  Not sure how to that in DNN.  I know in the old days we used to use either frames or Master Pages...

You will need to modify the skin so that the left and right panes display as you want them to. If you want them to vanish when they are empty then you might need to ensure that they don't have a fixed width specified and set the center pane to 100% width. If instead, you want the panes always to be the same size no matter what then make sure you have specified fixed widths in the skin. You'll need access to the skin files in order to do this.
