hi all,

i am using dnn04 08 ,vs 2005 and windows server 2003.
In my iis under dnnwebsite folder i want to create one virtual directory.
that directory i want to call from dnn link.

is it possible?
if i will do like this any other problem will come  or not?

i created one virtual directory in iis under dnnwebsite folder.

if i browse that  virtual directory i am getting an error like

You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed.

Please try the following:

Contact the Web site administrator if you believe this directory should allow execute access.
HTTP Error 403.1 - Forbidden: Execute access is denied.

It sounds like you do not have th epermissions set properly for your new virtual directory.

Having a virtual directory inside of DNN TYPICALLY does not cause issue.  The most common place to see issues is actually with the site that you put in the virtual directory.

The problem may be solved in IIS setting.   Try following:

Open your IIS, right click your website --> select "properties" --> click "Home Directory" tab --> Select "Scripts only" in Execute Permissions.
