We are getting following error when we access DotNetNuke Site on Internet. However we don't have this problem when we access it through intranet.

We have already created correct alias to take care of the issue - but it doesn't seem to work. Can someone please help us resolve the issue.

You must add a portal alias for the URL that you are using to access the site.

Login to the site as the Host user, then from the Admin Menu select "Site Settings".  Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on "Add HTTP Alias".

You will need to add an alias for the public URL.

Mitch we already tried that. Here are my questions regarding adding alias:

1. Is there a restriction to number is alias that I can add.

2. My external ip adress is say 10.0.0.1 and the Parent Portal site is DotNetNuke  and the port is 8089 - the alias that I have added goes like this:

 10.0.0.1:8089/DotNetNuke

Have I missed anything?

Please reply this is SOS for us.

If the site is a root site in IIS there is not need for /DotNetNuke

Simply entering 10.0.0.1:8089 as the alias should do the trick
