I have a requirement to build a directory system which will contain a lot of the functional aspects of http://www.hotscripts.com

I know the forthcoming 4.0 version will have template capability - will it be possible to build a link system such as the Hot Scripts site with the Repository module?

I believe you could get pretty close. The Repository module supports a lot of the functionality, latest files, counts, comments, ratings, downloads, categories, etc.

Some of the statistics would not be available such as #added in the past 5 days, etc without some custom coding. but you could certainly produce a site that is very comparable right out of the box.

and btw, the current version 3.X also has templating built-in, it's just not as extensible as the version 4.0 templating will be

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there any documentaton or a detailed user guide for Repository?

Also, is there a place where people can share their templates?
