What version of DotNetNuke are you installing? I noticed that the .NET framework is listed as 1.1 -- and if you have just recently installed DotNetNuke for the first time I would hope you are using a newer version (which uses .NET framework 2.0).....? you might try changing that in your web site's IIS properties.

Take care,

Ian

Hi,

I got the same problem. But I have version 2.0.50727 Net framework installed. (according to the registry)

But can it be something with permissions? A Readme told me to change the permissions of the {server}/Networkservice account.
(Which I can't figure out how to do..)

Christian

Hi Ian,

I am using 4.8.0, and .NET 2.0. How do I change in the IIS properties. I am an obvious newbie :-)

Thanks for your help!

Chris

Chris,

No worries, gotta start somewhere! :)

Open up IIS. Navigate to your web site in navigation pane on your left. Right click on your web site and select Properties. In the properties window there will be an ASP.NET tab. Select that tab. There will be a drop down list that says 1.1 and 2.0 -- I'm thinking you should see that 1.1 is selected, go ahead and select 2.0 and hit update.

hope that helps!

Ian
