I tried to upload the SDN Store 02.02.41 module, and now my site is crashed!  I cannot access the site, just get an error message about "/".  What happened?  How do I recover from this?  I never had problems loading modules before.  Help!

>>>>This was due to problems initializing the database, and some trust level issues with some of the DLL files, see later posts below<<<<<.

We got the site restored, and now I am trying to use the manual install method off their website.  I posted this on their forum, but it looks like it takes them a few days to respond based on other posts.  Hoping someone here knows what I need to do....

...........................

I tired to load 02.02.41, and it crashed my site. I just had the site restored ($25), and loaded 02.02.36 Manual. I placed the module on a page and ran it. I got:

A critical error has occurred.
Could not drop object 'dbo.po_StoreProduct' because it is referenced by a FOREIGN KEY constraint.

What do I do know? I am using DNN4.7 and SQL 2005 and I don't know much about any of it, I just want a working store.

If this ever works, do I then install 02.02.41, or do I install 02.02.36 and then upgrade to 02.02.41?

We are past that issue, and finally have it mostly working.  The applicaiton extension

ebay.service.dll  (turns out others do too, see below)

causes the site to crash.  If I move it out of the BIN folder, the site come sup, when I put it back, the site crashes.  Anyone have an idea about that one?

Well, Crystaltech and I have been investigating the SDN store on a clean portal, and it looks like the ebay dll's and the com.saferpay dll are the ones causing the issues.  It would appear that these dll's will not work in a medium trust environment, and we are not willing to go over to a full trust server.  The service provider is not willing to alter the current machine.config file to allow full trust, but would allow us to migrate over to a dedicated server.  We do not think we should have to do that (and are not even sure what the implications are), it seems to contradict the inherent security we are trying to get by using a server side process.  Has anyone figured out how to make SDN Store work correctly in a DNN 4.7 setting (MS SQL 2005) on a server set for medium trust?  I don't think I can spend money to buy a module that doesn't work, even though I doubt we would ever need the ebay features, and I haven't got a clue what the com.saferpay dll is even for.  Still looking for a SIMPLE store front that has product attributes (color, size), costs around $100 or less, and installs correctly and works.  This is such an important aspect for most websites, that I would have assumed that there would be a lot of selection out there.  The only things I am finding in my searches are:

CataLook, which is way to complicated for our little store.

AliCommerce, no attributes

SDN Store, can't get the demo running right

Portal-Store, still waiting to hear from Richard about attributes, and a possible demo

DNN Store, no attributes

Any advice or help out there?  Would really like to get that section of the site built up and start testing real soon, we would like to release the site in April...

Would like to hear something from someone, we cannot be the only site having storefront issues....

Personally, you are in a situation with limited options.

You might consider switching to a different hosting provider that allows DNN to run in full trust mode.  I'm with 3Essentials and my DNN installations and other ASP.NET applications all run in full trust mode, it takes some complication out of the picture and makes life easier.
