I understand the need for all the client side javascript when an admin / host or even a user is logged in.  But for some reason my DNN installation is pushing over 100KB of javascript to clients who are not even logged in.  Has anyone else seen this before?  Any ideas on what I need to do to fix it?

The site in question is: http://www.purplepixelmedia.co.uk

I used the Net funtion of FireBug (part of FireFox) to see what files were actually being downloaded from my server - it listed the following:

WebResource.axd
dnncore.js
dnn.js
dnn.dom.positioning.js
dnn.xml.js
dnn.xmlhttp.js
dnn.controls.dnnmenu.js
dnn.controls.dnnlabeledit.js
ScriptResource.axd
dnn.controls.dnntoolbar.js

Looking at the same info in firebug for other people's dnn sites I don't see anywhere near as many .js files loaded.

Any help would be great

even unauthenticated users need JS, e.g. for menus and other controls, e,g, for module granting edit permissions to the user like feedback.

Yes I know there must be some element of JS but the amount that are being loaded on my site is much more than any other.

For example dotnetnuke.com only loads WebResource and Script Resource (required for AJAX funtions) and dnncore.js and spmenu.js (understandable).

So why are my unauth users made to download the other .js files too?

Just an update to this - After Cathal's suggestion I double checked and debug mode is set to 'false' in my web.config

I have also tried creating a completely new portal with the default DNN blue skin - but that also includes these aditional javascript files that don't appear to download on anyone elses' websites - very frustrating!!
