this module came from work i recently did for a customer.  in the module settings you can set the number of days future events get displayed.  but this customer also needed a way to display any event, regardless of time, at the top of the upcoming events stack -- these are the "Sticky Categories".  in the module settings you can change the Sticky Category to "-- No Category --" to remove the duplications.  i see from your link that the sticky events get rendered in reverse order -- i'll fix that.  also, that your events don't have locations and leaves an empty space where the location should get displayed -- i'll fix that too.  and i forgot to package the image files for the learnMore classes -- i'll fix that too :(

thanks for your feedback.

Hey CurlyFro, thanks for your help.  Interesting, in that, I had already had the "Sticky Categories" set to "No Category" in the module setup.  I worked around it by creating several calendar categories, and simply set the module to "sticky" a category that I'd never use.  This got rid of the duplication listing problem.

I installed the latest release.  Unfortunately, it's not acting any differently.  Still duplicating sticky and non-sticky events.  On a positive note, the sticky items are listing the latest event first....which is what I'd prefer.  I would be cool to have an option in the module settings to select the sort order (ascending or descending).  Thanks for your work!

Hi curlyfro, the update really didn't fix anything.  Take a look here: http://portlandvineyard.org.dnnmax.com/Default.aspx.  The site is still under construction.  But, i'm trying to get the calendar up and running as quick as possible.  Notice that is doesn't list latest date first; and it lists events that are in the past.   Feel free to email me directly at:  frekleface AT gmail DOT com

Thanks for your help!

Ron
