Hi

I saw a thread on this subject a few weeks ago but cant seem to find it.  I have about 60 modules instaled and would like to clean up DNN, but it's very difficult to know which modules I am using and where they are

I belive that there is a sql script that I can run to check

Thanks

Hello,

I'm unaware of an existing script that does the job for you (although I'm sure one already exists).  I threw one together that I believe will give you the information you're looking for.  It assumes that you do not have a table prefix on your DNN installation.  If you're running the query through the DNN host menu, I know that you can specify the prefix for automatic replacement, but I cannot remember what that token is (it's {something} I believe).

Anyway, if you do happen to have a prefix on your installation, I'm sure someone will recall the token.  If not, here's the script:

Hope this helps!

Brandon

INNER JOIN [tabmodules] tabmodule
 ON tab.tabid = tabmodule.tabid
INNER JOIN [modules] module
 ON module.moduleid = tabmodule.moduleid
INNER JOIN [moduledefinitions] definition
 ON module.moduledefid = definition.moduledefid
ORDER BY tabname, moduletitle

I've seen a few posts address  this. Here was my approach a while back: this thread
