DNN 3.2.2. In a Documents module, I checked the Edit Module permission for a user role. When I login as a user with that role, the edit "pencil" links are visible for the current documents and for Add New Document. But clicking on either edit link displays the Edit Documents window with "You don't have permission to see the files on the site" and there is no way to upload or specify a document. Therefore that user cannot maintain that Documents module.

Am I missing something here?

You will also need to give that security roll both View and Write permissions on one or more folders using Admin->File Manager.

Thanks very much! That was exactly what I was missing.

>View and Write permissions on one or more folders<

I didn't see any options for specifying folders, just check boxes for View Folder and Write to Folder, period. Am I again missing something?

Select the folder that you want folks to upload to and select files from.

You definitely DON'T want to use the "root" folder for this.  You should definitely create a subfolder for the files that users will upload.

How do I "Select the folder that you want folks to upload to and select files from"? The portal root folder was all I could see (screen shot  below).

By the way, I had incorrectly stated that this was DNN 4. It's DNN 3.2.2.
