Aggregator 5.0

I'm very proud to be able to release version 5.0.0 of the popular Aggregator module. Aggregator (Tabbed Modules) is a flexible module that acts as a tabbed container or localization container for 1 or more modules.

This release has been in the works for the last 4 months and is the result of many user contributed requests and enhancements.

Some of the enhancements include:

  • Updated skins
    • More skins included than ever before (currently 34)  with more on the way
    • Professional DNN skinners! If you would like to develop or sell skins for this module please send me an email at support@dnnstuff.com for a free copy
  • Updated skinning and templating engine
    • Rewritten from the ground up to be totally configurable so tabs can be written with semantic html for quicker rendering and html standards support
    • Skins don't just include styles for displaying a tab, they also includes the markup used to generate the tabs themselves
  • Tab targeting
  • Html/Text within a tab
    • Tabs can now contain an optional html area
    • For simple tabbed interfaces you don't need to add html/text modules to the page and then add them to the Aggregator
    • This html text is indexed by the standard DNN search provider
  • Too many new enhancements

There are many new features and demos available including updated documentation on the new DNNStuff wiki.

I'm so excited by the versitility of the new skinning engine that I'd like to take requests for skins. Send a request to support@dnnstuff.com with the url of a page that has a tabbed interface you like and I'll do my best to replicate it and post it on the site.

All current Aggregator 4.x customers can upgrade to the new version for 25% off before May 1,2008. Please log into your account at DNNStuff before going to the store page to realize your 25% discount.

Glad to see the new enhancements Richard.  I am unashamedly a cheerleader for this module as I have found it to be one of the most versatile and most used modules throughout my site.  It really serves to aid in the web design process when it comes to designing how a site will organize its content in an efficient and effective manner.

Keep up the good work and I look forward to more future enhancements that I know you are busy working on.

Paul
