Our database is a little over 3 Gb now, but we have several very large websites. The one with over 800k pages just happens to be the largest. We also do alot of RSS aggregation for our clients based on keywords so this is the primary reason our database is so large. So, I would not consider our database size as "normal". We run several HTTP crawlers/spiders against the DNN database, performing several million transactions daily. Currently our transaction logs are a little over 1.5 Gb in size. In order to limit the size of the transaction logs, we frequently back them up and shrink them in size.

Hi

I'm not sure if my questions fit into this discussion, but I will try anyway:

I'm new to DNN and want to start developing websites from my clients using this application as I can see where this can be very helpful and useful.  Clients are starting to ask for more features in their websites.  I see that it is possible to have one DNN installation on a development server and to create different websites (portals) using that one installation.

When it comes time for hosting and deployment ( I currently set up shared hosting accounts for each client at a hosting provider ) how they deploy the websites?  Do I need to have a separate DNN installation on each client hosting plan or is there a set of folders that I can just FTP to the separate shared hosting servers?  If the latter is the case, where can I find instructions on how to accomplish what I want and what folders/files would I need to FTP to the shared hosting server.

I'm not sure if the previous line of discussion answers my question fully?  Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

ltsolis
