Doah! Psting issues have resurfaced. I know the data, like adding a new page gets to the db as I'll see it in some cases appear on the nav tree but then it will go away and come back several times over the course of 5 - 10 minutes before becoming 'stable'. Other changes like editing the text in the text module doesn't seem to be affected as I rarely have any delay in seeing this data after updating. Any ideas on a fix? I've done the following (plus what was mentioned in the first post):

  • Bypassed the cache on the server
  • Cleared up all errors that were appearing in the event viewer (this dramatically decreased data lag that would appear along side critical errors)

The weird thing is that if it were a cache issue the data would post back to the web site after some time, then stay there. Right? This is not happening as it will flip flop between showing the new data and then reverting back to the previous set up, back and forth.

I am so much better off than a week ago due to all your help. Hopefully someone will know what last steps I need to take to get my dnn back to 100%.

Thanks!!!
Mike

Just to add some info to this issue, hopefully someone will be able to pinpoint the difference in these operations. here are the opperations I have noted:

  • Effects data posting back to the web site
    • Adding and deleting pages
    • Adding and deleting modules
  • Operations that show no issues and post results immediately
    • Adding new users
    • Adding user roles
    • Editing modules (text, adding faqs, etc.)
