Short answer is no. you can not dynamically build the image with the tab name. Some attempts have been made in the past in .net to do this but it is not nice to look at.

Hello,

Following up on Salaros' comments, it's possible to create a vertical menu that appears as buttons underneath each menu item, but it has to be the same button for each menu item. - You can not create a different coloured button for each menu item.

But, if you look at the House of Nuke Menu, there is a setting in this menu system to display the page image instead of the menu link, so you could potentially setup the menu to display a different button for each link. ( I have used the HouseMenu, but haven't tested the image settings yet)

You can view details of this at: http://www.houseofnuke.com

Hello,

I don't know much about the DNN forum module, but I assume the module is skinnable.

- Basically within the forum module files there will be a css file for the styles of the module. - All you will have to do is find the class for the links at the top of the forum.

Within that class, you then specify in the CSS to surround each link with a border and to use a background colour or an image and you now have a button surrounding each link. - Note the borders on the images, it looks like you would specify the bottom border to be approx 2px and the rest 1px.
