Well, the main reason for why I use SolPart is because I am forced to use DotNetNuke and SolPart seems to be its default provider

SolPart seems to be an absolute atrocity, whoever created this mess should be @#!32!#. Now, I tried House Menu but its configuration option (root id, start tab id, similar) seem to be very limited, or am I missing something?

Well good news is they are working to fix the default menu option in the next release, but the solpartmenu is as is b/c of backwards compatability. Now the house menu comes in two forms a "module style" and the skinobject. The skinobject is pretty flexible just takes a bit to get use to. After looking at the shifting going on, I agree it looks like your border options are mis-placed and you might need to pad the submenu.

For me the house menu just works a bit better but I have done both of them and worked through their different issues. Overall till the next release your stuck with two options and neither are as great as they could be, but here is to hoping for the future.

HouseMenu doesn't offer a SelectedRoot class / id, remember why I didn't use it... it only has a

<li id="HouseMenuNavCurrentItem"><a id="HouseMenuNavCurrentLink" etc...

for the Child... since I wanted a 'tabbed' look for the root elements, this is an impossibility

Jon Henning works hard for free on this project. Please be graceful!

The navigation is getting better. If you want to use DotNetNuke, why not using dnnNAV instead of SolPartMenu? It's old, unless you're still running some old DNN version.

Also, check out his blog to see wha't coming next for the DNN navigation control.
