We're using version 3.1.1 (until we get SQL 2005 going) and I am getting a request timeout when I do the Synchronize Database and file system. I assume it is due to a SQL Server command timeout, but I do not see a way to change that other than the web.config file. I have bumped that, but I am still getting the timeout. Any ideas?

Thanks

up to now, all versions of DotNetNuke support SQL server 2000.

We are using SQL 2000,  and intend to upgrade to SQL 2005 and a newer version of DNN in the near future. I've worked with SQL enough to know that there are connections timeouts and command timeouts that can be set. It appears to me that we are getting a command timeout, probably due to the amount of files that we are using and the speed of our machines. I don't see a way to adjust the command timeout value. I have changed the value in the webconfig file, but is there someplace I can set this value without changing the webconfig file?

Thanks,

Tony

AFAIK you can either set this for the sql server in server configuration or for connection in connection string (included in web.config).
