Hi all,

I'm a bit confused over the purposes of DNN special pages for a portal. Namely login, home, splash pages. What are the specific use of each of this page.

Also can we use the same physical page both as the login page and the home page?

Thanks in advance,

Uchitha.

you usually do not need to specify any of these pages, default behaviour uses framework mechanisms to display login control, first page in hierarchy as home page and no splash page. Those options allow customisation if needed, e.g. showing an additional "welcome" page, before displaying home page (Splash), using a different home page, using a special login page with additional login/registration information etc.
