Hi, I am trying to install module on a 4.81 install on Win 2003 running MSDE and I keep getting a timeout error. I have tried installing the modules from host -> Module Definitions -> Install selected modules.

I have tried installing one module at a time, I have also modified web.config and asp.net files to extend the timeout duration. All of this has not worked. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Marcus,

If you have file system access (and especially if you would like to install multiple modules) you may also try placing the install packges (.zip files) into the \Install\Module\ directory and then visiting the following URL: http://www.yourwebsite.com/install/install.aspx?mode=installresources

This will execute the installation of any modules in the \Install\Module folder.

I know this doesn't necessarily address the underlying issue that you are seeing - but may be a workaround for the time being.

Take care,

Ian
