Hello community.Fresh start with DotNetNuke.

My setup is Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005.

I created a database called DotNetNuke in my database engine.

I downloaded 4.8.1 Source distribution and tried to create a virtual directory and install it but i got the "Could not connect to the database specified in ConnectionString for SQLDataProvider. Then i tried to open the website folder from the Visual Studio 2005 and Ctrl+F5 from there all worked fine.(the database got set up right).

My problem is that when i  compile throug Visual Studio i can access the portal but through localhost\<Virtual Directory Name> i get the

Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE' although i have set up full control access to this folder to the ASP.NET Machine Account and Network Service users!.

Any ideas please?

you need to set up both connection strings in the web.config file to point to your database.
