How can I include code that are writing info to the system logg ? I have a problem in production environment but not in the development environment .....

To write to the system event log you typically need the application to be running in full trust which is not recommended. If you simply want to output from code then i recommend asp.net tracing (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms972204.aspx) . If you want to use the dotnetnuke eventlog then you can add code like:

Dim objEventLog As New DotNetNuke.Services.Log.EventLog.EventLogController

objEventLog.AddLog("Error message", "Error text here", PortalSettings, -1, DotNetNuke.Services.Log.EventLog.EventLogController.EventLogType.ADMIN_
