I want to use User Registration but I just don't need all the fields that are currently required. I am new to dot net nuke and cannot find where to make those fields not required.

Login to the portal as admin. Access the Adminstrator Account profile page. You will se ticks next to all the fields. Remove the ticks for the items you don't require.

Cheers
Roger

Hi,

I have exactly the same question, so wont repost a new thread. Some of the fields dont seem possible to switch off in this way, such as First Name and Last Name.  I don't require my users to enter real name info, and would prefer them to just be known by their Username when accessing my portal (it's a gamer site, and most people are just known by an alias).

Is it possible to set this up to not require First Name and Last Name?

Cheers!

Hi,

this is not possible at the moment, as some modules use full name instead of username for display, so you need a custom version of registration, where lastname and prename is filled with username accordingly.
