Hi Everyone,

There used to be a module by DNNLab(s) that allowed you to click and drag page order and heirachy.  They ran into problems with licensing with telerik and had to pull it.  I am wondering has any kind of replacment module come out for this.  We are trying to manage about 100 pages and keep them in alphabetical order (they are client names) and it is starting to become a real pain in the rear.  If anyone could point me towards a possible resource i would greatly appreciate it.

  Thanks,

  Adam

I am guessing this is not a problem with many, maybe i should then ask how people are sorting their pages in DNN so it makes it nice and eays for them.  So under each region we have our client list, and we are always added and deleting pages, but want to keep it in some sort of order.  Would anyone have a recommendation as to how this can be accomplished.

  Thanks,

  Adam

Well, if you just want to get it done quick and dirty, you can always jump in the database Obviously, not the best solution, but it'll get it done faster than dealing with post-back lag.

Honestly, I don't think most people have to deal with this too much. it's usually a set it and forget it type of task. I do understand what you're talking about, tho. This is exactly why I do my best to create sites in order. The largest site I had to create was basically done in a template, tho. We just modified the XML and imported it.

I have spoken with Jon Henning in the past about using the ClientAPI for adding drag and drop ordering to the Admin -> Pages module.  It should be possible.  You might want to list it as a enhancement request in the bug tracker to help move it up the list and gain more visibility.
