What a fantastic post, Kathryn!!

I got all the way up to:

11)    Make a new copy of resources.config and name it web.config

...yet my DotNetNuke folder does not seem to have this 'resources.config' file in it anywhere. I installed DNN 4.0.3 (Source)!

Any ideas (anyone) on what I should do next? Or, to build a website (as is my aim) should I install a different package. I think the Install has a webconfig file anyway... (I know this as I have been mucking about with this for a number of days, now!!

Thanks all, and have a lovely weekend!
John
